No Money for ICE Terror

Buen Vecino condemns the brutal executions of Keith Porter, Jr., Renee Nicole Good, and Alex Pretti at the hands of ICE agents. On New Year’s Eve, Keith Porter, Jr., a father of two, was murdered during festivities at his own home in Northridge, California by an off-duty ICE agent. On January 8, Renee Nicole Good, a mother of three, was fatally shot in Minneapolis, Minnesota while exercising her legal right to observe and record ICE activity. On January 24, Alex Pretti, a nurse at the Minneapolis veterans hospital and lawful gun owner, was fatally shot while legally recording ICE and protecting a woman who was attacked by federal agents.

In the first month of 2026 alone, Geraldo Lunas Campos, Luis Gustavo Núñez Cáceres, Luis Beltrán Yáñez-Cruz, Parady La, Víctor Manuel Díaz, and Heber Sánchez Domínguez have died while in custody of federal immigration enforcement. They would be here with us still if not for the brutal, dehumanizing, and noxious conditions of their detention; they are victims of ethnic cleansing committed by the US detention and deportation machine.

The nine individuals named above join at least 32 immigrants who were killed in ICE custody in 2025 due to racial persecution, neglect, and cruelty. The victims of these injustices–including Fouad Saeed Abdul Kadir of Eritrea, Marie Ange Blaise of Haiti, Huabing Xie of China, Francisco Gaspar-Andrés of Guatemala, Johnny Noviello of Canada, Shiraz Fatehali Sachwani of Pakistan, Ventura County community member Jaime Alanis García of Mexico, and too many more–will not be forgotten, and we will not give up the fight until the perpetrators are brought to justice.
