ABOUT BUEN VECINO

Buen Vecino was created as a response to the fear, stress, and damage experienced in our community by immigrants, their families, and all who have been subjected to racial profiling and bigotry.

Too many people have been persecuted and had their rights violated. Too many parents and children have been separated. The threat of these traumatic events permeates daily life for thousands of our neighbors.

The needs that Buen Vecino is here to address have existed for decades, but conditions have worsened in recent years. Buen Vecino aims to reduce the fear and anxiety people are experiencing as a result. Our tools and methods are education, service, advocacy, and organizing. We welcome and value the immigrants in our midst. Immigrants are integral to our economy and our development as a nation. All of us in this country are bound together by our common immigrant roots, dedication to our families, hard work, and our desire to increase the wellbeing of our nation and our local communities. Buen Vecino embraces the growing diversity in the populations and workforces in our communities. We are all members of one human family.

Buen Vecino is a fiscally sponsored project of the Alliance for Global Justice, a 501c3 nonprofit. Your donation is tax deductible to the extent permissible by law.
